Hemant Soren, the executive president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, will take oath as the eleventh chief minister of Jharkhand on Sunday. He will also be sworn in with Congress state president Rameshwar Oraon. The situation on other names has not been clarified.
Cabinet will be expanded after Kharmas
It is anticipated that there will be an extension of time after the Kharmas, in which all names will be decided. Currently, there is agreement on the formula to include five from Congress, six from JMM and one MLA from RJD. Three MLAs of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha and other independents have separate support to this government.
This will be Hemant Soren’s second term as Chief Minister. Apart from him, Babulal Marandi, Madhu Koda and Raghuvar Das have also been chief ministers once, while Shibu Soren and Arjun Munda have held the reins of power thrice.
State Congress President Rameshwar Oraon said in response to a question about the number of Congress members in Aaliya that he did not have this information. The decision has to be taken by the high command. There is also no recommendation from here. His reply was bluntly – the state in-charge reported to be ready on the phone and apart from that I do not know anything.
