It has been decided to cancel Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test 2019 (STET 2019). Based on the report of the inquiry committee made for this exam, the board decided to cancel STET 2019.
The exam was conducted in two shifts at more than 300 centers across the state on 28 January. A total of 2,47,241 candidates who aspired to become teachers participated in it. After the examination was over, a case of question paper leaked. After which the Bihar Board constituted an inquiry committee.
The four-member committee was chaired by Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) Chief Monitoring Officer Neelkamal. Apart from these, Administrative Officer Sanjay Priyadarshi, Joint Secretary Nikunj Prakash Narayan and Monitoring Officer Rajiv Kumar were members of the committee.
Now this committee submitted its report. The report said that during the examination, the photo of the question paper from the mobile phone went viral. Meanwhile, several examination centers in the state also witnessed sabotage and uproar. An FIR was also lodged against several candidates.
The Inquiry Committee in its report recommended the cancellation of the examination. It has also been recommended to re-organize this exam. A recommendation has been sent to the Bihar Education Department for this. In this regard, the Bihar board has given full notice by issuing notice.
